Malaysia: Selangor records highest number of dengue cases

Selan­gor recorded the high­est num­ber of dengue cases as of 25 April in 2012, with 3,615 and nine deaths up until 24 April 2012, Deputy Health Min­is­ter Datuk Ros­nah Abdul Rashid Shirlin said. Kuala Lumpur and Putra­jaya recorded 868 cases with three deaths, while Perak reg­is­tered 563 cases with one death. Between Jan­u­ary and 24 April in 2012, 18 deaths from 8,052 dengue cases were reported nation­wide, up from 6,594 cases with 12 deaths dur­ing the same period in 2011.
