Erin is currently a doctoral student working with Dr. Marsha Linehan. Her research interests are related to developing and evaluating effective interventions for suicidal individuals, factors preventing individuals from seeking mental health treatment, and attitudes toward suicide and suicide survivors. Her dissertation study is a randomized controlled trial comparing two brief, one-time interventions for suicidal individuals who are not engaged in mental health treatment.
Erin received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University South Bend. There she completed an honors thesis under Dr. John McIntosh examining attitudes toward therapists who have lost patients to suicide.
