avatar me

I recently signed up for a Steam account for gaming and realized I needed an image for my profile. I hate putting up bio pics, so I decided to go with an avatar. It doesn’t quite look like me and I don’t have a cat but close enough for the virtual me! Here’s hoping I don’t become too much of a game addict!

Have been playing around some more with making games/toys and noticed that my draggablable elements weren’t working on ipads or iphones… was seriously bummed until I discovered this most awesomest script that allows touch events to be seen as mouse events in your code.

I haven’t tested it extensively but seems to work on my butterfly play page:

where you can drag the butterflies into the pink column and the background changes.

as if i didn’t spend too much time on the computer already…

I can’t believe I just discovered computer games! OK, I loved space invaders and pacman as a kid but never really got RPG or other games until just recently… and me a self-respecting web dev and everything. Now I’ll finally know what my coworkers are talking about.

So far, I’ve been mostly into the hidden object/puzzle games with one of my favorites being  “Lost Chronicles: Fall of Caesar” by National Geographic. It’s probably too easy for most but I enjoyed the settings and learning some things I didn’t know about Brutus’ campaign.
