The Seattle VR Hackathon Sept. 15-17

The following information is from the Seattle VR Hackathon organizers.

The Seattle VR Hackathon
September 15-17, 2017
UW Center for Education & Research in Construction

Come join us for a weekend of creativity, innovation, and learning in an opportunity to try out creating experiences with Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and related technologies. You’ll meet new people, get hands-on experience with VR design and development, and have a chance to build awesome stuff in an exciting and creative environment.

As well as normal prize categories, this time, we have a Feature Prize sponsored by Rosetta Stone exploring the potential of immersive experiences for teaching language using their Speech Recognition Engine. Always wanted to learn another language? Come design a VR experience to help!

We welcome hackathon participants no matter their experience level, and will have mentors and other experts available onsite to help you out if you need it.

The hackathon takes place over the weekend of September 15-17 at the UW Center for Education & Research in Construction, a large warehouse and studio space at Magnuson Park at Sand Point. To sign up, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/seattle-vr-hackathon-6-tickets-36462884469 and fill out the registration form. We provide food throughout the event as well as prizes and equipment for loan if you need it.
