Thanks from HSL and Open Access Week

Nikki Dettmar

We hope you’ve enjoyed learning more about the Health Sciences Library during National Medical Librarians Month! From how we use our website & toolkits to serve our users’ information needs, supporting clinicians’ information needs through education, and the use of quality improvement tools in the library and the coverage from our Regional Medical Library colleagues in August there are a lot of exciting things going on that we’ve loved to share with Dangerous Liaisons readers.

In celebration of Open Access Week, you may be interested in visiting the ‘How I Work Open’ posters on display in both the Upper Level (3rd floor) of the Health Sciences Library and the Research Commons.  In addition, I presented on the Regional Medical Library’s monthly PNR Rendezvous webcast about Copyright & Online Education Resources: It’s Complicated! where some great open access, public domain, and Creative Commons-licensed resources were shared in support of health sciences education needs. See if you can find a new favorite to explore from the list!
