Mark your cal­en­dar for Schol­ars’ Stu­dio: Dis­as­ter Research @the Com­mons, a fun, infor­mal, inter­dis­ci­pli­nary event fea­tur­ing 5-minute light­ning talks from UW grad­u­ate stu­dents research­ing disaster-related top­ics. We’ll hear talks from stu­dents in Eco­nom­ics, the Infor­ma­tion School, Engi­neer­ing, Eng­lish, Busi­ness, Anthro­pol­ogy, and Marine and Envi­ron­men­tal Affairs.

Schol­ars’ Stu­dio pro­vides a way for UW grad­u­ate stu­dents to present their work, con­nect with schol­ars in other dis­ci­plines, and receive imme­di­ate pre­sen­ta­tion feed­back. Please join us for pre­sen­ta­tions, refresh­ments and Q&A on the 21st. All UW stu­dents, fac­ulty, staff, fam­ily and friends are wel­come and encour­aged to attend!
