The UW Team

The Ocean Internship program is coordinated by three members of the School of Oceanography.

Professor Rick Keil likes going to sea, working with students and strumming musical instruments.  He is from Chicago and went to Lane Tech High School, which at the time was one of the largest high schools in the US with nearly 5000 students.  His high school experiences include working at the Shedd Aquarium.

Jaqui Neibauer is the lead technician in the AOG lab.  She went to Lake Washington High School in Kirkland.  Jaqui received her BS in 2006 in Oceanography and has worked with Rick ever since.

Megan Duffy joined us from Reed College and is working toward her Masters degree, developing workflows and techniques for our proteomics research.
