Odegaard Construction Bulletin Weeks of October 15-November 2

Here are the major construction activities planned for mid- to late October and their impacts on users. Questions, concerns? Email ouglreno@uw.edu.

October 15 – 19:

Framing of the 3rd floor soffits outside of the construction barrier. Expect increased noise level for cutting and fastening of materials. Work hours will be from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

October 22 – 26:

– Framing of 3rd floor soffits outside of the construction barrier. Increased noise level for cutting and fastening of materials. Work hours will be from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
– Ongoing mechanical and electrical system rough-in and installation. Normal construction noise levels.
– Installation of atrium steel stair supports on floors 1 and 2. This will increase noise on south side of floor. There will be welding, grinding, etc. for this work. May have some slight odor of welding but not harmful as area will be properly ventilated to outside of building.
– Interior brick patching on the 1st floor and mezzanine levels.

October 29 – November 2:

Ongoing framing of 3rd floor soffits outside of the construction barrier. Increased noise level for cutting and fastening of materials. Work hours will be from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
– Ongoing mechanical and electrical system rough-in and installation. Normal construction noise levels.
– Completion of atrium steel stair supports on floors 1 and 2. This will increase noise on south side of floor. There will be welding, grinding, etc. for this work. May have some slight odor of welding but not harmful as area will be properly ventilated to outside of building.

–  Brick patching on level 2 column by main help desk on Monday and Tuesday morning from 5:00 am to 8:00 am.
