Welcome to Winter Quarter 2014

University of Washington Ethnomusicology faculty members Patricia Campbell, Shannon Dudley, Ter Ellingson, and Christina Sunardi, archivist Laurel Sercombe, and secretary Michiko Sakai welcome returning students to Winter Quarter 2014. We’re very fortunate to have Visiting Artist Pablo Luis Rivera with us this quarter to teach the Afro Puerto Rican tradition of bomba. Mark your calendar for a concert to be presented by Sr. Rivera and his students on March 4, 7:30pm, in Brechemin Auditorium.

You’ll continue to see major revisions as well as new information on our website in the coming months. For current information on UW Ethnomusicology degree programs — M.A., Ph.D., and the new B.A. — contact your supervisory chair, your designated mentor, or the UW School of Music Advising Office at (current students) or Admissions and Outreach Coordinator Amanda Tran at (prospective students).
