Our dedicated and experienced sales team is a major component of our company’s success.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our Western Sales Region.  In this role you will be responsible for driving and leading technical sales strategy, educating through installers through product demonstrations and building working relationships with distributors, designers, installers and regulators.  As an Area Sales Representative you will oversee the validation of current and future market needs to ensure growth and strategic positioning in the wastewater industry.  Overnight travel (typically 100 nights per year in a hotel) is required for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute annual and quarterly action plans for the sales territory appropriate to achieving agreed upon targets and business objectives.  Thirty percent of compensation is based on achieving established sales targets each month.
  • Promote Infiltrator products and onsite system technology to onsite system designers (engineers and soil scientists), installers, distributors, and local regulators via sales calls, field product demonstrations, and educational presentations and training classes. Assisting onsite contractors with demonstration installations of Infiltrator products is key part of promotional efforts.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with county regulatory agencies.  Provide support to the Regional Manager, District Manager, and government relations team to maintain and obtain required regulatory approvals and increase Infiltrator product market share.
  • Remain current with all technical aspects and requirements of Infiltrator products, regulatory and code requirements in the territory, and technical and competitive advances within the industry.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain sales opportunities through new and existing customers.
  • Manage and develop strategic partnerships with the distribution network within the territory to maximize effectiveness and market penetration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (technical degree such as civil/environmental engineering or soil science preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Product based presentation experience
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workflow within territory to achieve best sales results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
