The Skidmore, Owings 7 Merrill (SOM) Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2016 Structural Engineering Traveling Fellowship. This $20,000 award for independent travel and study is open to both undergraduates and graduate students who will receive a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) July 1st 2015 through June 30th 2016. The Foundation’s goal is to instill in its fellows a heightened sense of the importance of aesthetics in structural design by offering them an opportunity to study buildings and bridges throughout the world.
To Apply: Students must be nominated in order to apply. If you are interested, please contact a structures faculty member. CEE can nominate up to two candidates, and nominations are due on Monday, Dec. 7th.
