Fire Safety and Evacuation Plan (FSEP) 2017

Hello CEE,

UW Environmental Health & Safety has created a new manual, called the FSEP (FSEP_More Hall_2017). The information in this plan is specific to fire safety and evacuations, and is intended to replace the much longer Emergency Evacuation and Operations Plan (EEOP).

Some highlights from the FSEP:

  • Course instructors (including TAs) are responsible for providing their class with general information regarding emergency procedures. Please see the attached “classroom emergency procedures” one-pager for general guidance (Classroom Emergency Procedures_EEOP).
  • In the event that a person is unable to exit the building, the area of refuge for a person with mobility disabilities is the main stairwell (where the elevator is located). Persons with disabilities are encouraged to create an individualized evacuation plan – please contact me for more information.
  • The More Hall Evacuation Assembly Point is Rainier Vista. In the event of an alarm, please make your way to this area in order to give emergency services a wide berth to operate in and around the building.

Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Thank you,

J. Sean Yeung
