Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. (AESI) is a multi-disciplinary, professional geotechnical engineering, environmental and hydrogeological consulting firm that provides focused solutions to a wide range of private and public sector clients. AESI’s growing environmental group has an immediate opening for a mid-level environmental, civil, or chemical engineer for their Kirkland office.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
- Environmental site exploration and sampling
- Field management of remediation activities including in-situ treatment, remedial excavations, and installation and O&M of treatment systems
- Data compilation and analysis
- Assisting with engineering calculations and preparation of technical reports including RI/FS, CAP and EDR documents.
- Assisting with engineering cost estimates, design plans and bid specifications
Education requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering
Experience requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the field of environmental remediation
- Working knowledge of relevant local, state and federal regulations (MTCA, CERCLA, RCRA, etc.)
- Understanding of construction processes and implementation of remedial actions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred experience:
- Waste characterization and disposal
- Construction techniques for site remediation
- Treatment system O&M and troubleshooting
- Understanding of contaminant fate and transport
- Design of remediation systems
Training and licensing requirements:
- Washington E.I.T. License
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certificate
- Valid driver’s license
