The Department of Geography is looking for a TA for Winter 2018 for their Coastal GIS course. Geography 462/562 is an intermediate course that examines the theory and application of geographic information systems (GIS). Full course description available at course website.
Course Schedule
• TA will work on average 19.5 hours per week; 220 hours across quarter.
• Lectures Monday, Wednesday, and Friday : 9:30AM – 10:20AM, Thompson Hall 325
• Lab section AA TTH 10:30AM – 11:20AM, Sherman Lab in Smith Hall 401
• Lab Section AB TTH 11:30AM, Sherman Lab in Smith Hall 401
Requirements:
Preparation in ArcGIS Desktop with at least two courses at the senior undergraduate level or beginning graduate level is required, e.g. Introduction to GIS and Intermediate GIS, or equivalent. A third course in advanced GIS is desired. Interest in coastal topics (e.g., land, water, and populations) is desired. UW Seattle graduate student must be enrolled full-time.
