Position Announcement: Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering Recent Graduates – Seattle District Army Corps of Engineers

The Seattle District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking to complete multiple hiring actions for summer intern positions this year.

These announcements are for the Department of the Army’s Pathways Intern Program which is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions with opportunities to explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed.

These positions are full-time in the summer with an option to work part-time during the following school year. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for conversion to a permanent job in the civil service. A summary of the intern program is available here.

Student Trainee (Engineering and Architecture)

This position is offered at the GS-4 level. To qualify for a Pathways Internship as a GS-04, students must have completed two full academic years of post-high school study or have an associate’s degree. Closing date Feb 27, 2018.

This announcement seeks up to five students in the areas of:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Hydraulics and Hydrology
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Geology and Instrumentation
  • Geospatial Services

Student Trainee (Engineering and Architecture)

This position is offered at the GS-5 level. To qualify for a Pathways Internship as a GS-05, students must have completed 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree. Closing date March 1, 2018.

This announcement seeks applicants focused on Hydraulics and Hydrology.
