The UW’s Applied Physics Laboratory has posted two job opportunities which might be of interest to CoE’s graduates. Both are newly created positions which support a cutting-edge cabled ocean observatory off the Washington and Oregon coasts. The Applied Physics Laboratory did a substantial portion of the design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of this system of scientific instruments over the last few years, and continues to be deeply involved in the ongoing operations and maintenance of the observatory today.
Senior Ocean Science Computer Specialist

This position will be responsible for many operational aspects of the systems used to control and monitor the subsea and shore based observatory infrastructure.
