Data Collecting Job from April 2 to April 13

The Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics (SCTL) Center in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the UW is hiring students for part-time work spring quarter 2018.

$19/hour with a flexible schedule and up to 19.5 hours a week.

This position will require working in a team to study “last mile” delivery system in downtown Seattle. We will be monitoring carrier’s delivery activities including parking, building access, physical delivery, inventory sign-off and even payment. Job requirements include:

  • Travel to downtown Seattle
  • Ability to work outside
  • Be comfortable and friendly to approach carriers for asking a few questions
  • Recording dataon a smartphone and a GPS device
  • Ability to collect, review, and edit datausing Excel
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Strong communication skills are required to communicate in writing
  • Available from April 2 to April 13
  • Working shifts consist of (schedule can be flexible based on your time availability):
    • Morning shift: 9 am to 12 pm
    • Afternoon shift: 12 pm to 4 pm
