Queer API Narratives Returns Next Tuesday

Queer API Narratives is a discussion group for people who identify as queer and Asian/Pacific Islander. Come to discuss our lived experiences within the intersection of such identities, to find solidarity among each other, and to heal. The event takes place next Tuesday on February 6, from 3:30 to 5 pm in the ECC Native Room.

As our second general meeting of the year, we’ll be exploring the theme of a “double life” – of being out in different spaces, and not in others. Snacks will also be provided!

This event is done in collaboration with the ASUW Asian Student Commission, the Pacific Islander Student Commission, and the Queer Student Commission. Please email asuwasc@uw.eduasuwpisc@uw.edu, and asuwqsc@uw.edu if you have any questions. Check out the FB event page for further details.

Here the QSC on Rainy Dawg Radio Next Thursday!

Make sure to catch the QSC on air next week as we discuss a variety of queer-related topics! We’ll be live next Thursday, February 8, from 10 to 11 am. You can listen to the stream at https://rainydawg.org/.

Also stay tuned during the hour for a prelude discussion to the Bi Panel+ as well. If you have any questions about our spot on Rainy Dawg, shoot us an email at any time.

Come Join Our Bi Panel+ This February!

Come join Bi Panel+, a conversation on multisexuality! A varied and diverse group of panelists will be discussing terminology, identities, media representation, and being apart of the greater LGBTQ+ community with the audience. All are welcome to come! Please bring any questions, or submit them now toasuwqsc@uw.edu.

The event is happening on Thursday, February 15, from 4 to 5:30 pm in HUB 214. We’ll see you there!

Help Make the IMA More Gender Inclusive

The IMA is currently looking into renovating their facilities to include an all gender locker room inside the building. They’re looking for student input and opinions, so if you have any feedback about the project, fill out this anonymous survey here.

The QSC is looking to bolster support for the project, and has prepped a resolution that is being discussed at the Student Senate. If you’d like to get involved in the discussion, please come out to Senate meetings on Tuesdays, from 5 to 7 pm in Smith 120!
