Technical Skills

Many students already have strong computer skills, and most internships do not required advanced technical ability or training. However, there are some that may desire that you have a specific skill set. If you would like to improve or update your skills, or become familiar with new software, the UW along with the a few local library systems have a number of resources available for students:

UW Learning and Scholarly Technologies – free on-campus computing workshops, including documents, spreadsheets, graphics programs, web development, video and audio software, and more.

Technology Training – UW IT offers Learning Technologies Workshops in person and online Tutorials.

UW IT Connect Resources for Students – campus computing labs, software, tools, personal web space, etc.

Access to lynda.com where you can take thousands of technically related courses through some of the local library systems along with additional resources.
