Raytheon SPY-6 Scholarship

Raytheon Company, in partnership with Student Veterans of America, is offering two U.S. Navy student veterans a $10,000 scholarship each under a new program announced during the Surface Navy Association’s 32nd National Symposium.

The Raytheon SPY-6 Scholarship, named for the U.S. Navy’s SPY-6 Family of Radars, provides returning sailors an opportunity to achieve educational goals and position themselves for success in civilian professions. The scholarships will be awarded to sailors who pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited university and demonstrate leadership in their local community.


All successful candidates must:

  • Be a U.S. Navy veteran
  • Be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of undergraduate study, or be enrolled in a graduate program for the current academic year
  • Be attending full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and passion for their chosen field of study
  • Demonstrate leadership and engagement in their community
  • Be a current student veteran (includes members of the National Guard or Reserve), as demonstrated by a DD 214 and current transcript
  • Have received an honorable discharge; must be a veteran in good standing
