Husky Habit | #8 – Ready All, Together!
Many of us are fimilar with Boys in the Boat, the story of the UW crew team that represented the USA in the 1936 Berlin Olympics and won the gold medal. If you’ve spent any time around our women’s or men’s rowing teams, you’ve probably heard the coxswains or coaches yell, “Ready all, row!”.
The book and related stories are all about the importance of working together to achieve goals. Teamwork is an essential part of the UW experience, whether you are one of UW’s amazing student athletes or one of our thousands of other students, faculty members, staff members. The fact that our annual Distinguished Staff Award often recognizes large teams for their outstanding achievements is a testament to how important teamwork is to our success.
