Husky Habits | #20 – Walk About

It’s important to take breaks from work throughout the day. If time permits, consider taking a walk outside to enjoy our beautiful campus and the summer sun– it’s a great way to get some extra activity and fresh air.

Here are a few UW walking tours for you to consider:

Have more time to explore on a weekend and want to turn your walk into a hike? Check out King County Transportation’s new Trailhead Direct Shuttle, which takes hikers from the city to the trails. It stops at trailheads along and around the Issaquah Alps, Mount Si, and Mailbox Peak. It’s a great option for new and experienced hikers alike, as the trails vary in distance, elevation and difficulty. Taking the shuttle will save you money, reduce your carbon emissions, and relieve the stress of finding parking at crowded trailheads. Here’s to getting outside and getting active!
