I’m a Professor of Economics at the University of Washington Tacoma in the Division of Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs. For three years I wrote bi-weekly columns on economics and public affairs for Tacoma’s The News Tribune. I’ve also published articles in the Seattle Times, The Olympian, and Washington, DC’s The Hill. This blog contains these columns. I’ve also published a book on education policy directed to a general, well-educated audience (Trapped in Mediocrity) . You can read more about my research and teaching interests by visiting my website or by viewing my CV. Reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
