Amita Banerjee

AmitaI joined Van Volkenburgh Lab in the Fall of 2015. I am seeking to understand the photosynthetic damage inflicted on bean and corn leaves by short and long term drought stress. I focus on non linear mixed models of photosynthesis in order to gain insight into the change in photosynthetic light and CO2 response in corn and bean during drought stress.

I have a masters in plant ecophysiology from the School of Environment and Forest Sciences, UW. I used and compared pre-existing models of photosynthesis to study variation of multiple parameters of a photosynthetic light response curve along the curvature of a maize leaf.
