Z-Racks

A number of folks have been interested in replicating the Z-racks we have in the space, so we’re publishing the BOM here (note it has two tabs).  These were based on the d.School Z-racks as described in the book Make Space; looking at this post at Widget Factory, we decided we wanted not just whiteboard but also pegboard and shelf racks. Matt Sorensen drew up a parts list and we sourced from the local Home Depot and Grand + Benedicts (recommended by the UW Costume Shop for garment racks) as well as some hardware ordered from McMaster-Carr online.  Matt also glued up and assembled our first set of racks.  If this is useful to you, or if you develop more useful ways to construct and use Z-racks, please let us know in the comments!

The Z-racks were the first items added to the space after removing the carpet.
