MS in Data Science - Official Blog

Welcome to the UW MS in Data Science Blog!

Welcome to the official blog for the Masters of Science in Data Science program at the University of Washington.

Data Science, by its very nature, is an application of a variety of disciplines. The MSDS program is an interdisciplinary program that offers courses from six top-ranked departments and schools at the University of Washington: Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Human Centered Design and Engineering, Statistics, and the Information School. This approach gives students a holistic education and equips them with the variety of skills required to solve the ubiquitous data problems so many industries face.

The program is available both part-time and full-time. Full-time students can expect to graduate in 1.5 years and part-time students will take 2.5 years. All classes are offered in the evenings, making it convenient for students who work during business hours.

We hope you find interesting information about data science, our program, and our students while perusing the blog.
