A challenge in water treatment is dealing with natural organic carbon compounds in source water which cause water treatment filters to clog and are known to form carcinogens during chlorination steps. A research group at the University of Washington has developed a new material called HAOPS to easily and cheaply remove these compounds which prevents water filter treatment filters from clogging and reduces the formation of carcinogenic compounds. Motivated student needed to help detail financial model and build bottom up sales projection.
