Rainer Forst, Professor of Political Theory and Philosophy from Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main is visiting UW Tacoma tomorrow. After his lecture on “A Critical Theory of Human Rights” on Thursday, April 29th at the Simpson Center in Seattle, Forst will be making a stop at UW Tacoma, speaking to students and faculty at a meeting of the Philosophy Roundtable tomorrow—May 1st—in the Lucien Room (GWP 320) at 10:30 am.
Next week, coordinators of the Washington Legislative Internship program will be here on campus holding an information and recruitment session for interested UW Tacoma students. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the internship program and get a head start on what’s involved in the application process. Interested students will submit applications in the Fall, and those who are accepted will intern in the Washington State Legislature during Winter 2016. This internship is an incredible opportunity to gain practical experience in an exciting setting. UWT interns have rewarding internships that can lead to future career opportunities.
The information session will be held on Monday, April 27 from 12:30-1:30 in Pinkerton 212. All UWT students are encouraged to apply.

Group members discussed their papers and developed a common framework for a forthcoming publication regarding the OIC and human rights. Kayaoglu and Marie J.
