About Us

Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs (PPPA) is a Division within Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma.  We provide innovative programs of study exploring social challenges and their solutions. Through internships, study abroad opportunities, seminars, and field work, students gain practical experience with decision-making and careers at the local, state, national, and global level.  A faculty of active scholars, we are committed to undergraduate students, and offer them small classes, individualized internships, and many opportunities for civic engagement.
