William P. Shuman, M.D. FACR, FSCBTMR, FSCCT, is Professor, Medical Director of Radiology, and Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology at University of Washington Medical Center – widely recognized as one of the top 10 academic radiology departments in all of North America. Using some of the most advanced diagnostic imaging facilities in the country, Dr. Shuman serves patients at the University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, the VA Medical Center in Seattle, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and many affiliated facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest – all supported by a world-class team of board-certified radiologists and fellowship-trained physicians. A noted researcher in the area of cardiac and dual energy CT, Dr. Shuman received his medical degree from the State University of New York in Syracuse, New York before completing a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mary Fletcher Hospital of the University of Vermont in Burlington and a two year fellowship in Ultrasound and Computed Tomography at the University of Washington. Dr. Shuman currently serves on the Radiology Education Alliance of the ACR and is the incoming President of the Society of Computed Body Tomography/MR (SCBT/MR).
Thank you for taking time to explain the UW’s commitment to low dose Diagnostic Radiology. Had my CT today and asked for shielding for my arteriosclerotic aorta and coronary arteries. This is the fourth time at this clinic I have asked for this and to my surprise it was offered without comment. Very nice tech from Iran.
