SLP/CF Position at Providence Marianwood (Issaquah, WA)

Providence is calling a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington. They are a community of caregivers delivering every day on their Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Evaluate patients to develop and implement treatment and discharge plans.
  • Monitor patient progress, and modify goals based on results achieved.
  • Document patient services rendered.
  • Oversee work of aides and other staff who assist with rehabilitative services.
  • Communicate plans, goals, and results to family members and other patient representatives
  • Coordinate review and revision of rehabilitative services upon evaluation by the interdisciplinary team


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology
  • 1 year of experience in rehabilitative therapy
  • Current American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certification or actively working towards acquisition during clinical fellow year
  • Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply

Their Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Their Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of residents through creating a sense of community and home in “neighborhoods” and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
