Lavender Graduation 2020

In this extraordinary year the U.W. Q center is opening up our Lav Grad  ALL 2020 two-spirit, LGBTQIA+ college and high school graduates! We want to celebrate you!

The ceremony is FREE for graduates to participate and will be live-streamed on YouTube for your community to witness and celebrate you.  Graduates must register by June 2nd: tinyurl.com/2020LAVGRAD

Core Programs Virtual End-of-Year Celebrations for First-Gen and International Graduate Students

Core Programs—Office of Graduate Student Affairs in the UW Graduate School cordially invites you to attend our free, virtual end-of-year celebrations for *first-gen graduate students and international graduate students! Celebrate milestones and achievements online, build community with peers, and more!

  • International grad student event, June 11, 4–5 p.m.
  • First-gen grad student event, June 12, 3–4 p.m.

Please register in advance (UW NetID required).

If you are *first-gen and also an international grad student, you can attend both events by submitting a registration form for each event.

*A first-gen graduate student is in the first generation of their family to earn a Bachelor’s degree—and is now working towards a graduate degree.

2019 LAVENDER GRADUATION ~ Hosted by Aleksa Manila

Who: Lavender Graduation is open to any student eligible, at any level (undergraduate or graduate/professional) for graduation in the 2018-2019 (including fall 2019) academic year. Guests do not have to be graduating or be of a certain sexual or gender orientation/identity/expression to participate or attend this year-end celebration. Everyone is welcome!!!

What: The best party on the UW Campus, of course.

When: TUESDAY, June 11th, from 6-8:30 PM.

Graduates please arrive by NO LATER than 5:15 PM.

Where: wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ – Intellectual House (4249 Whitman Court) on the University of Washington campus.

Why: The Q Center and QSC host Lavender Graduation as a time for the UW queer, two-spirit, trans, GNC, LGBTQIA+, and allied communities to come together and celebrate their multiple identities, their accomplishments, and sheer AWESOMENESS.

How: IF YOU ARE GRADUATING, please register at https://tinyurl.com/lavgraddawgs2019 by June 5th.

Attire: Participants and guests can wear whatever they want. If you want to dress up, or down, go for it. If you wish to wear cultural regalia, please do. You want to be comfy, have at it. This is your night!
