The Fourth Workshop on Sino-Tibetan Languages of Southwest China (STLS-2016) will be held at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, September 8–10 (Thursday–Saturday), 2016. This is the sixth circular and call for pre-registration.
1. Registration is Open
Registration is now open. Please visit the registration page of the workshop website to register. We encourage presenters to register soon, so that we can confirm participation and assemble a preliminary program. The registration form also contains a survey about hotel needs.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsoring institutions, we do not anticipate requiring a fee for pre-registration. Pre-registration will be open until August 15. After that date, only on-site registration will be possible.
2. Invitation Letters
Official invitation letters will be issued upon request. Please make your request through the registration form. (If you have previously requested a letter by email, you do not need to make a second request.)
3. Abstract Review
Abstract review has been completed. All authors who submitted abstracts should have received a notification of acceptance, rejection or placement on the alternate (waiting) list. If you submitted an abstract but did not receive a notification, please contact us immediately.
We wish we could have accepted all abstracts, but the high number of submissions made it impossible to do so. We hope that even if you will not be presenting, you will still be able to attend the workshop.
4. Travel and Lodging
Please provide information about your hotel needs when you register. This will help us to secure an appropriate number of rooms at nearby hotels. Information on how to reserve a hotel room will be made available next month.
A travel information page has been added to the website, and will be updated periodically.
5. Information for Presenters
Some preliminary information for presenters is now available on the conference website. This information will be supplemented over the next few months. If you are a presenter and anticipate restrictions on your availability for presentation times, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs as we plan the program.
With all best wishes,
Zev Handel (on behalf of the STLS-2016 Organizing Committee)
