Christie Keifer is the Administrative Coordinator for both the Social, Behavioral and Human Sciences and the Social and Historical Studies divisions. She received her B.A. in English and B.A.C. in Conflict Management from Pacific Lutheran University in 2014, and spent two years helping Washington State educators expand their credentials in the Partnerships and Professional Development department at PLU. After graduation in August 2014, Christie travelled to the suburbs of San Francisco to volunteer at Point Reyes National Seashore behind the front desk at the Bear Valley Visitor Center. While at Point Reyes, she assisted visitors from both Europe and the United States plan their time in the Park. In addition to service-oriented positions, Christie is an avid poet and children’s literature enthusiast. She recently travelled to Northern Ireland to complete a course on Dialogue and Community Peacebuilding where she studied The Troubles, and how children’s literature positively impacted the community.
