Summer Positions (paid) with Museum of Flight

The Museum of Flight is expanding the “ACE Camp Experience” this summer and is currently seeking individuals who wish to inspire children and young adults with the spirit and wonder of human innovation through educational programs that feature aviation, space travel, robotics, engineering and other STEM related subjects.   These positions are seasonal, with full-time and part-time openings, all positions are non-exempt and the hourly wage, depending upon qualifications, starts at $12.05 per hour.

The Museum of Flight is currently recruiting the following positions:

5 open positions – ACE Lead Counselor

1 open position – ACE Offsite Lead Counselor

1 open position -ACE Advanced Camp Lead Counselor

Successful candidates will possess the following attributes and competencies:

·         A minimum of 2 years college experience with a Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Prefer at least 2 years of camp and or youth leadership experience

·         Prior experience in classroom, experiential or informal education preferred

·         Flexible schedule

·         CPR/Standard First Aid Certification (and/or ability to obtain this certification upon hire)

·         Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills

·         Able to work with a variety of people, including staff, campers of all ages, parent and volunteers

·         Competent in planning and organizational skills – priorities and plans work activities using time efficiently
