Movie Screening: Crisscross by Allison Ross

The Center for Experiential Learning and Diversity would like to invite you all to a movie screening of the film, “Crisscross” by Mary Gates Venture Scholar Allison Ross.

The film is set in Seattle and is an adaptation of “Hamlet” by Shakespeare. There will be two movies, each running approximately 20 minutes.  The first will be a narrative and the second a “commentary” in which Allison will reorganize the clips in such a way as to exemplify the three themes that she is conveying through the proof of concept film: adaptation, open-ended narrative and ethical ambiguity.

There will be a Q&A with Allison immediately following the films. Popcorn and other refreshments will be provided by the Mary Gates Endowment and Undergraduate Research Program.
