The Center for Colon Cancer Research (CCCR) at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC is leading the development of innovative and ground-breaking research in colorectal cancer. One of the primary goals of the CCCR is to foster the progression of young scientists, and we are seeking undergraduate students to participate in research internships in a cancer-related field (e.g., biological sciences, pharmacy, public health) during our Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Program.
Program details:
- 10 week program: May 23, 2016 – July 29, 2016
- $4,000 stipend, on-campus housing, and up to $1,000 travel expenses
- Summer research symposium
- Professional development workshops and research seminars
- DEADLINE to apply: February 15th
Eligibility:
- Rising juniors and seniors
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Any major related to biomedical or public health research
- Underrepresented minority: African-American, Hispanic American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
