67th Annual Pacific Fisheries Technologists (PFT) Conference
We would like to invite you and your students to the 2016 Pacific Fisheries Technologists conference which will be held at the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington.
The annual PFT conference attracts about 100-150 attendees from seafood processing companies, universities, research centers, governments, and related industries from around the world. Scientific sessions consist of oral and poster presentations. Although the PFT conference agenda is still in the early planning stages, recent topics have included seafood safety, seafood species identification, consumer education and outreach, seafood chemistry, seafood byproducts, marine environment management, seafood marketing, seafood processing/engineering, processing plant inspection, and international seafood regulatory issues, among others.

When: February 21-24, 2016
Where: Semiahmoo Resort is located on the shores of Semiahmoo Bay and Drayton Harbor. Just 45 minutes south of Vancouver, B.C. and 90 minutes north of Seattle. This resort utilizes an old cannery site as its foundation, which makes it the perfect location to build on this year’s theme, “Honoring the Past and Shaping the Future.”
