2016 Bullitt Foundation Environmental Fellowship – Deadline April 1, 2016

The Bullitt Foundation will start accepting applications for the Bullitt Environmental Fellowship on January 1, 2016. Each year, one outstanding graduate student from a university located in the Pacific Northwest or British Columbia is selected for this prestigious award of $100,000, distributed over two years. The Fellowship was established in 2007 to honor Priscilla Bullitt Collins, the late chair of the Bullitt Foundation who donated her time, energy and money working for the public good.

Candidates must have a strong academic record, a demonstrated capacity for leadership, the promise of emerging as an environmental leader, and a faculty member nomination. Students of color, those who come from a disadvantaged background, or who have overcome significant hardship are highly encouraged to apply for this award.

UWRA Scholarship in Aging – Deadline Jan. 28th

UWRA (University of Washington Retirement Association) Scholarship in Aging

Up to four $4,000 scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing research or careers related to aging. Scholarship funds will apply to student accounts for spring quarter.

Eligibility: Open to UW undergraduate, graduate and professional students currently enrolled at any UW campus. Students should have completed the first year of their program by the time they apply.

Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in and commitment to working with older adults (paid or volunteer)
  • Academic performance
  • Communication skills
  • Financial need

Requirements:

  • Application, available at
    uw.edu/uwra/scholarships-fellowships-in-aging/
  • Current unofficial UW transcript
  • Current academic year FAFSA on file with UW Office of Student Financial Aid
  • All materials DUE by 3:00 p.m. on January 28, 2016
