ASUW Student Disability Commission internship opportunities and DASA revival!

INTERNS WANTED – Student Disability Commission

Are you interested in disability advocacy? Do you want to learn more about disability justice? Consider joining our student-led, advocacy-centered entity! We put on events like “ASL/Deaf Culture workshop” and “Ableism and Coronavirus webinar”. We lead campaigns like “F*** Stairs” and “Distance Learning Now”. We work directly with UW administration to encourage policy changes to improve accessibility on campus.
We have 8 Internship positions open, listed on our website hereAPPLICATIONS ARE DUE OCT. 23rd (Friday)!

Disability Advocacy Student Alliance

If you want to get involved but are not seeking an internship, consider joining DASA (Disability Advocacy Student Alliance)! DASA has a similar purpose to the SDC, but is an RSO (club) and seeks to unite the various disability-related organizations at UW. DASA is seeking officers and general members!

Their first meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 28th (3 pm PDT). If you are interested in attending, email Jim Lawler (asuw.sdc.intern1@gmail.com).
