WRITE Primary Preceptor:

Bryn Parker, M.D., Family Medicine 

Dr. Parker grew up in Elk City, Idaho and graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2011. She complete a family medicine residency at Swedish Hill in Seattle and a Rural Family Medicine Fellowship (Rural and Obstetrics emphasis) in Tacoma, Washington. She loves all parts of medicine from a taking care of babies to moms to taking care of grandparents. Providing primary and preventative care makes the most sense to her for keeping people healthy and happy.

Dr. Parker enjoys most things active including running, skiing, backpacking, cooking, and creating art.

Clinic: Moscow Family Medicine is a physician-owned primary care practice and offers a variety of services, including primary care, preventative medicine, pediatric care, obstetrical care, women’s health and gynecology.  Website: http://moscowfamilymedicine.com/

Students will spend time at Moscow Family Medicine and Moscow Pullman OB/Gyn in both Moscow and Pullman offices with exposure to care for pregnant and non-pregnant women, routine health maintenance and preventative visits, management of chronic Gyn conditions, prenatal care, family planning, and a wide variety of OB/Gyn procedures

Students will round on inpatients depending on number of admissions. As much as desired, Dr. Kraig White also does two evenings of ER per week.  Dr. White is the medical director of the University of Idaho Athletic Department and there is ample availability to work with him and our other providers as the attending physician at all types of collegiate games.


Community Information:

Moscow is a city in northern Idaho along the state border with Washington, with a population of 23,800 at the 2010 census.  It is home to the University of Idaho, the state’s land grant institution and primary research university.  The elevation of its city center is 2,579 feet above sea level.  Major highways serving the city are US-95 and Highway 8, both of which are routed through central Moscow.  Limited commercial air service is four miles est at the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport.

The Palouse region is know for its beautiful landscapes with several state and county parks, giving outdoor enthusiasts plenty of places to roam and breathe.
